Label Notes
Daftmill is a farm distillery. Owned and operated by the Cuthbert family, it only runs in the farm’s quiet periods; midsummer and winter, sometimes producing as few as 100 casks per year. When not distilling, Francis Cuthbert looks after the estate, growing the malting barley used to make this Lowland whisky.
The barley variety Publican was grown in the 43ac field and harvested by John and Sandy on the 28th and 29th August 2009. It was then dried and stored on the farm to be malted in Alloa during the summer of 2010.
This first-fill ex-Bourbon Barrel from Clermont Springs was distilled in our summer season being filled on the 6th July 2011 and has been bottled in Jan 2024 exclusively for the United Kingdom.
